Be tough, but be gentle. He seems to be doing a good job in finding the balance.
For all his “I’m tough” attitude sometimes he’s really a gentle giant.
Here, for instance, we have them both sleeping on our bed. See how his large hand envelops his baby sister’s so gently?
A lucky baby sister there, to have a protector like that.

The promise of a sit-down restaurant that wasn’t fast foodish but still afforded us something that the kids would be very willing to eat (pizza!) was a welcome sight.
Just look at how tired Superman was after such an awesome time at the zoo!
Newbie was a lot less “stink eye” to Nana this year at the zoo.
She also greatly appreciated the souvenir that Nana treated her to.
There she is pretending it was trumpeting here.
I’m not sure why she has such an affinity toward elephants, but it’s certainly not something to discourage.
It’s rare that any of them fall asleep in my arms, and so it’s something I celebrate whenever it happens.
