At the 1:03 mark you can see the full “wait, who actually won?” moment but I left the full highlight clip in to show how brutal this particular run was.
But if you want just the photo finish, here is that too.

How about some chess over dinner? Little Miss took the picture and is the fourth player this time around.

Another one of those that I feel like would be accurate to real life.

This was from mid November, but here Big Red is, clearly wanting attention and entering the letter f and number 7 into the chat box.
Pretty sure we’re past year six at this point, but I’m not positive.

And another leader won with. This actually came about in early January, but we’re in a J month, right? :p

Thunderer and I have been slowly working on a save file for Untitled Goose Game for a while.
Over the Christmas break we finally beat it together.

New Year’s day usually consists of sleeping in and then gaming.
This year was no exception as we enter 2022’s pictures.
Thunderer fell out pretty early and Superman wanted to play his new Metroid Dread game he got for Christmas. I can’t recall at this point but I think I had just recently fallen out due to all those hotels in the corner.
Little Miss, TJ, and Newbie were duking it out though.
While this may not have been how the game ended, she was quite proud of how much she was able to accumulate before being whittled down by only having one monopoly.
TJ, ultimately, was the winner of this round.

Naturally with so much food out, everybody has gathered around to graze and enjoy what’s there and available.
In Little Miss’ hands on the right you can also see that we’re slowly getting ready for the next part of the tradition: board game night.

That’s it. That’s the post. I can’t recall what year I started laying out finger foods for New Year’s, but it’s been a hit every year so that’s what I continue to do.
Cheeses, sausage, shrimp, crackers and chips, pepperoni, and lunch meat, I’m ready to serve the myriad tastes of the large family as we welcome the new year.
