What do you get your mother as a first birthday present ever?
A photo catchup book.
Redflare helped pick out and arrange the pictures to help catch up on 35 years of lost moments and pictures. A heavy task.
I think the tears of joy show that it was well received. 😉
My birthday cake gathering of littles.
All eager to help dive in.
What I didn’t know, is that on this day, on a website I hadn’t even looked at for 13 years, things were about to become amazingly and wonderfully different.
Now his birthday was actually earlier this month, but had to have time to process the pictures. 🙂
We went from this…
His review of his birthday?
“The best birthday ever.”
That’ll do. 😀
It’s really hard to believe that this little guy here…
is now 15.
His birthday was officially on June 1, where we almost had to call the fire brigade for his cake.
He’s also wearing a new shirt he got. Themed from Arrow, a TV series that he enjoys a lot.
I think he had a good birthday weekend though. School let out on the 2nd, where he got to go to a sleepover, and while the weekend was hot, they mostly got to relax around the house.
Our annual Red Lobster trip had to be postponed, but now that it’s summer, we can go during the week too.
In what is both a blessing and a curse, Newbie’s birthday falls very close to Valentine’s Day.
Blessing? We can easily find hearts and pink things for her birthday.
Curse? Chocolate is more expensive around the holiday.
Her excitement for it though?
Newbie’s birthday pictures keep getting mixed in with everything else!
Oh well, spreads out the cheer a bit this way.
She specifically asked for a cake in the shape of a heart, so we tracked down the right pan and made sure it happened.
She wanted a sword for her birthday.
Of course we weren’t going to buy her a real one, but this seemed to highly satisfy that itch.
Can’t you just see the look on her face of “what adventures and mischief will this sword accompany me on?”
