Could we probably fill a small library at this point? Yes.
Do we care? No.
Books are super imortant in our family. This would be the collection after Redflare had me pack up mine since I don’t reread very often too.
Also, there are other bookshelves, so this is certainly not the only bookshelf handy. Getting another bookshelf though, that might be wise to do.
On the drive home there was a house that the last weekend was having a garage sale.
Clearly this was a family that was moving. There was a sold sign in the front yard, a dumpster in the driveway, they were move purging.
There were also boxes in the front yard with books with a nice friendly “free” sign in front of them.
We walked away winners.
No, Redflare and I aren’t having problems, but I did have to move my books off the bookshelf to make more room for the books she got for her birthday or with birthday money.
Especially after she reorganized the shelf.
In her defense, I don’t generally reread my books and she does, so she needs hers more readily available than I do.
Nope, that’s me carrying two bags while following the family as we walked back home from the library.
We took Newbie to a Kindergarten screening thing for the school district. It’s held at a church who happens to also have a used book donation and selling store.
It seems when I read a good book that it often will leave me a bit introspective.
Such is the case as I complete the first book in the
Tiger’s Curse series.
It took me a while to get through it because the first good half is a bit slow. It sets the needed stage but I wonder if some of it couldn’t have been fed through either flashbacks or with a touch more speed.
Here’s the introspection though: I trust my wife completely.
This one doesn’t read a lot… it’s something we encourage that changes in his habits.
I guess Nana agrees. 😉
The books here finish off one of the series that he is interested in reading, so hopefully he’ll dig in soon and finish them off.
