It’s tradition now that we go out to the local pumpkin patch and let the kids pick out their pumpkins.
It’s also tradition to be sure to grab a picture of everybody on top of a haybale while we’re there.
We also decided to catch a picture of ourselves. A nice way to update our fall facebook profile picture.
Once everything was picked out it was time to play a little bit before heading back. The teens decided to have a contest and see who could reach the farthers up a halbale after a running start.
It didn’t end as was expected.
Meanwhile, Newbie was quite fearful of the prospects of Thunderer driving…
I remember this October day pretty well. It was a lot colder than expected so we didn’t stay out long at all, even though they were bundled.
The swings didn’t provide enough shelter to the wind so they went to the other equipment.
Any outside time is better than none though.
Especially if these kinds of smiles are the reward.
The neighbor boy is kind of a handful but he’s also clearly quite lonely.
TJ was kind enough to toss it around a bit, though it looked more like he was supervising Newbie doing the tossing.
The littles got a themed day!
Of course they’re going to do something.
Next themed day?
As you can tell, the littles didn’t have a themed day really, but they still wanted to get in on the picture taking action.
(And yes, she knows that she dressed more ‘geek’.)
Visiting the dentist, with five kids, is an ordeal. Not a bad ordeal, just an ordeal.
Get them all situated and checked…
Make sure everything is coming in just as it’s supposed to.
And perhaps do some inspecting of siblings.
Yes, even the teens are subjected to the same day. It’s just more efficient.
Happy to report that yet again, we’re cavity free. 100% success rate so far.
Time to go buy candy!
So how did little Thunderer’s first day of preschool go?
Just look at that happy face, that’s how well it went.
When the weather is nice, the park is going to become a regular wind-down time thing again after school. IT’s also a nice place to wait for the rest of the siblings.
And a fun place to find the family.
As school was starting and summer was ending our town has a “crafts days” festival.
Parade, booths at the park, etc.
The favorite is always the lawnmower pulling a ‘train’.
Yes, you read that title correctly.
Thunderer also started school this year.
Still school though.
She was very excited to be going.
The littles were sure to surround her and cuddle her extra at the bus stop.
Now, just because they were ready to go…
Doesn’t mean they weren’t thrilled to be home at the end of the day.
It’s good to be home.
