As the evening wound down from their first meeting Pops came out to grab something from their truck as we were leaving.

He Caught One!
This is Superman’s fish that we eventually freed back into the lake.
He did it all, by the way.
Worming the hook, casting, and eventually reeling it in.
It was awesome watching it happen and being there for the first.

All ready for some boating and some fishing after enjoying time in the water.

Little Miss hoisted Thunderer up so that Pops could double check her lifejacket before heading out on the boat.
She seemed to enjoy being hoisted too.

Superman got a chance to drive the boat too!
Pops stayed nearby to help but even at this angle you can see signs of his grin.
