We’re not quite sure on this one’s code name quite yet, but now you know one of the reasons Redflare hasn’t been available to edit pictures much (and this is likely the last post for a little bit again) but I wanted to show off little Fireball to close out this return stint of pictures.

I’ll see you again when I have more pictures readied by Redflare!

Cousin Time

After finally getting to our destination we did have the chance to finally meet my little brother’s family in person too!

One of the things that sparked Mom’s even heavier search for me was the birth of my neice. The logic being that if my little brother now has a daughter odds were high that I probably had kids too.

She wasn’t too far off from her guess of me having four.

Thunderer seemed to appreciate being the “big girl” in this situation. They were really cute together.

Found Little Feet

As hinted at yesterday, my birthday proceeded as normal. I enjoyed my cake, went to work, and that weekend, I started my standard chores.

That meant things like mowing.

And paperwork/emails.

Among the emails was a mysterious message from a “J. Smith”.

Yeah, that has to be a fake name.

Except it wasn’t.

Instead, we exchanged messages first on the website where I had left breadcrumbs 13 years ago (and thankfully still had the same email address).

Then phone numbers for texting.

And suddenly I was getting pictures. Confirmation of a biological past that I thought was closed to me for all time.

That’s right. My biological family had found me!

The breadcrumbs, after 13 years, had finally borne fruit.

If there’s a question, those are my baby footprints.

It’s really hard to believe that this little guy here…

 is now 15.

His birthday was officially on June 1, where we almost had to call the fire brigade for his cake.

He’s also wearing a new shirt he got. Themed from Arrow, a TV series that he enjoys a lot.

I think he had a good birthday weekend though. School let out on the 2nd, where he got to go to a sleepover, and while the weekend was hot, they mostly got to relax around the house.

Our annual Red Lobster trip had to be postponed, but now that it’s summer, we can go during the week too.

The Heart of York!

“Bring me the heart of York!”

My first two daughters both have a large advantage in gifts because their birthdays are close to Valentine’s Day.

It means we can sneak in fun candy and pink things more readily than we’d be able to if their birthdays were in the spring.

You can tell that sense of humor (the york quote was from her) was even present early on though.
