The library had its yearly sale.
We made off like bandits.
Hard to resist $1 for filling a paper bag.
Any we don’t like? Trade the local little free libraries or book trading sites like book mooch. It’s quite the win-win.

Little Miss’ egg creations from Easter are always very carefully created. This year was no eggception. She definitely ensured the line stayed perfect on this one.

TJ met D pretty soon after moving into our new house.
That means Newbie would have been two.
Thunderer hasn’t known a day of D not being present.
They’ve adopted him as another big brother. It shows too, as they try to get his attention or otherwise interact with him.
His mother used to babysit some, so he’s used to smaller kids, even if he is the baby of his family.
Now I think, based on the picture, he’s ready to head home, but does humor Redflare with a picture first… that Newbie had to photobomb.

After the zoo we went to visit Grandmother. Their only living great-grandparent.
She was fairly aware at the time, remembering me, so that helped make the visit go smoothly and well.
Thunderer just wanted to bring her random objects and have Grandmother share stories about them. What’s nice is that she didn’t seem to notice Thunderer kept bringing her the same things.
It was a precious encounter. I’m thankful that we were able to stop by.

April 30th marked the three year anniversary of when Lady Grey wandered into our lives.
We celebrated by giving her a can of tuna.
Tuna was the first meal that we gave her when we met her, being an unequipped cat family like we were.
She and her kittens certainly changed our lives, that’s for sure.
The benches here are near some bathrooms. It’s a great central place to stop and rest after wandering around the zoo most of the day.

Behold, the next post over at NonToxic Gaming!
What am I redirecting about again? You can see that info here.

Thunderer has a tendency to chase robins through our yard, stating simply, “want to pet them!”
This Robin must have known it was perfectly safe from the toddler exhibit due to the fence. I don’t even remember what enclosure we were at when this happened. Thunderer was awestruck with being this close.

Another animal statue? Sounds like it’s time for a photo op!
Yes, it is that hard to get a picture like this of all of them.

For my birthday it seems appropriate to show off two of my little gifts.
The high school was hosting for the younger grades a “daddy/daughter dance” so naturally, it was time to take my two in school daughters to said event.
Newbie had a blast. Running around, purposefully sliding on the floor and finding friends… oh yeah, and dancing with Daddy.
Little Miss was a great sport in helping me keep an eye on my Newbie independent monster.
Sadly the DJ wasn’t overly impressive (or the music requests weren’t) but I still enjoyed hanging out with them and attempting to move to the beat.
