And another garden helper appears!
You just keep doing you worm. Thank you for your service.

Hello little spider. If you were in our house right now, you’d be dead.
Out here in the garden? You’re welcome to stay.

A bit random to help come close to wrapping up the zoo pictures from this fall.
This is as close as we’ve ever been to a moose though, and it was fun watching the baby monkey interact with its presumably mother.

Walking along main street Redflare spotted a nest of swallows in the awning of one of the businesses.
It was really interesting letting the kids watch them for a bit.
An active nest with a bunch of little babies.
When the mama returned home they moved on so that they could feed their little ones without being too nervous.

When I’m mowing I always try to watch for where I’m going.
Spotted this fellow hopping out of my path.
Naturally, what you do in this situation is you share him then with your kids and let him go somewhere safer. 🙂
I’m not sure the order of who saw the toad when, but I’ll present them in birth order.
Newbie was completely sucked into watching the zoo’s bird show. The last couple of years it’s either rained or we’ve barely missed it (or both) so this was the first year we were able to actually enjoy the full show for a while.
Her favorite was probably the red legged seriema which enjoys beating its lizard food on the ground.

Last September we had the pleasure of watching the eclipse with the elder younglings.
Here’s our best attempt at capturing the image.

Unlike the yellow jackets, this little visitor is a welcome addition to our garden.
Go forth little bee and explore our garden as much as you want. We’ll just leave you to it.

Oh… *clears throat* sorry… didn’t see you there.
Just continue doing what you’d been doing, so sorry to interrupt.
